SOCCER NEWS - Cape Town City will be on the hunt for three Absa Premiership points when they take on hosts Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Claremont on Saturday, 6 April 2019.

Arrows broke a four-game drought with a 1-0 away win over Baroka FC on March 13, with Wayde Jooste scoring a last-gasp goal to secure all three points for the Durban side.
They also triumphed in a Nedbank Cup quarterfinal last week, with Knox Mutizwa scoring twice to see them defeat Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 away from home.
Abafana Bes’thende have claimed 14 points from 11 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates in early March.
City played to their seventh draw of the season when they were held 0-0 at home by Polokwane City on March 15. It was the Cape side’s first goalless game since October 2018.
The Citizens have claimed 15 points from 11 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 3-2 win at Bidvest Wits in early March.
Benni McCarthy’s side were also in Nedbank Cup action last weekend, going down 2-0 away to Kaizer Chiefs in a quarterfinal clash.
In head-to-head stats, City and Arrows have met in five league matches since 2016/17. Abafana Bes’thende have claimed two wins compared to one for the Citizens, while two matches have been drawn. The Durban side has recorded one victory and one draw from their two home matches in the rivalry.
When the teams met earlier this season, at the Cape Town Stadium in August 2018, they played to a goalless stalemate. It was the first 0-0 draw between Abafana Bes’thende and the Citizens.
