GEORGE FOOTBALL NEWS - Black Cats Football Club from George maintained their unbeaten run in the Regional League, collecting maximum points away from home over the past weekend.
Nine wins and one draw have left them sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 28 points. This is four points ahead of the runners-up, the newly promoted Mossel Bay side Benfica, that boasts 24 points after seven wins and three draws.
Other George teams are fighting at the bottom half of the table in the relegation zone, with Young Pirates FC and Burning Fire FC in the last position.
They seem to have lost their fire, but with five games left in the Regional League, we can only hope they will pick themselves up and bring back positive results.
