GEORGE FOOTBALL NEWS - The Lawaaikamp giants, Black Cats Football Club from George, have maintained their unbeaten record in the Regional League after registering two impressive wins last weekend in Knysna.
They won their first game 5-0 against Parks United and faced off against Simunye FC in their second fixture, coming out tops with a score of 2-1.
With only one game remaining, Black Cats are comfortably at the top of the Safa Eden Regional League table with 40 points - the clear champs of the region after fourteen games, of which they won 13 and drew one. In second position is the Knysna-based side FC United with 34 points.
The newcomer, Burning Fire FC from George, deserves a mention. They fought hard and their positive results of last weekend have made a huge impact on their record.
Four teams from George - Young Blues, Simunye, United Brothers and Young Pirates - will be fighting for relegation this coming weekend after failing to collect points in their last games.
