The water utility says last week's rain in Gauteng helped alleviate the pressure on areas affected by water shortages.
But spokesperson Hilgard Matthews says consumers should still abide by the level 2 restrictions.
“They should still no fill up their pools and they should still not wash their cars using hosepipes and they should still not water their gardens between 6am and 6pm.”
The South African Weather Service says while cooler conditions are expected this week, the province isn't likely to see much rainfall.
Forecaster Lulama Theme says, “South Westerly winds are always bringing us cold conditions. The only rain is expected toward the end of the week.”
