2 arrested for inciting violence in Klipheuwel

NATIONAL NEWS - Two people have been arrested on charges of inciting violence following days of service delivery protests in Klipheuwel near Durbanville.

A section of the R302 between Durbanville and Malmesbury had to be closed to traffic earlier today as a result of the demonstrations.

It's believed the group, which has been illegally occupying a privately owned plot of land, is demanding the installation of water and electricity.

The local neighbourhood watch earlier reported that residents stoned cars and burnt down electricity poles.
