NATIONAL NEWS - A police officer has been shot and wounded in Mitchells Plain.
The constable was attacked in Tafelsig on Tuesday night and is said to be in a serious condition.
A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
The police's Andre Traut said: “Shortly after a 22-year-old police constable was shot and wounded in the corner of Litha and Rita roads in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain, a 37-year-old was arrested in possession of the firearm that he used to attack the police constable.”
