NATIONAL NEWS - Parliament has now agreed to give Members of Parliament (MPs) tasked with investigating state capture at Eskom, Transnet and Denel the resources they need to start their inquiry.
In June, House chairperson Cedric Frolick instructed the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises to probe allegations contained in the so-called Gupta Leaks emails.
But MPs first wanted assurances that their inquiry would be well-resourced with an experienced evidence leader.
MPs met with Frolick several days ago, to explain their predicament.
They asked him to appoint Parliament's Advocate Ntuthuzelo Vanara to lead the state capture probe.
