Limited to 160 units only, the ST200 differs visually from the regular ST by virtue of its matt black five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, full LED rear lights, ST200 badging and a model specific Strom Grey metallic paint finish. Interior revisions are more subtle though with heated partial leather Recaro sport seats, illuminated scuff plates and dual-tone seatbelts. As for added standard spec, the ST200 gets a reverse camera as standard.
The biggest change comes underneath the bonnet where the 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine now produces 149 kW and 290 Nm of torque as opposed the normal ST's 134 kW / 240 Nm, although an overboost function allows for an additional 11 kW and 30 Nm hike for 20 seconds.
Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, Ford claims the ST200 will dispatch the 0-100 km/h mark in 6.5 seconds, and reach an electronically limited top speed of 230 km/h.
A four year / 120 000 km warranty and four year / 60 000 km service plan is included in the ST200's R339 900 sticker price.
