Following in the wheel tracks of the swansong SLC Final Edition unveiled towards the end of last month, the bent-twelve will make its final encore at the Geneva Motor Show this week in the aptly titled, limited-run AMG S65 Final Edition.
Restricted to just 130 units and equipped with every conceivable option as standard, the Final Edition’s exterior difference includes a bespoke high-gloss Obsidian Black paint finish with bronze detailing on the door sills, air intakes and lower air dam, a bronze AMG logo on the C-pillar, bronze coloured multi-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and a gloss-black quad exhaust outlets. In addition, the Final Edition also comes with a colour matching, tailor-made car cover with AMG S65 Final Edition inscribed on it.
Internally, the unique touches are made up of a special 1 of 130 badging on the centre console, AMG Edition inserts on the steering wheel with a unique, pre-configured copper colour option as part of the ambient lighting, copper stitched floor mats, copper and carbon fibre inlays and Exclusive black nappa leather also with copper stitching.
Ending its long tenure, the mentioned twin-blown V12 comes with a black builder’s plaque titled ‘On Man – One Engine’, yet remains otherwise unchanged with a power output of 463kW and torque of 1 000Nm. Teamed to a 9G Tronic gearbox, the Final Edition will waft from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds and hit the electronic speed buffers at 300km/h due being fitted with the AMG Driver’s Package as standard.
Expect pricing and a local launch date to be revealed after its debut in Geneva.
