Dropping its predecessor's smiley face, the Pik-Up now gains its SUV sibling's more aggressive appearance made up of a new grille with chrome and gloss black detailing, redesigned headlight with daytime running LEDs on the top spec S10 model, restyled fog lights, new lower air intake and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The biggest change comes inside with upgrades materials, auto on/off wipers and in the case of the S10, a six-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth and satellite navigation, cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel and remote central locking. Dual front airbags, ABS and EBD are standard fitment on some models, while ISOFIX mounts and static bending lamps are available only on the S10.
Underneath the bonnet, the Pik-Up again uses Mahindra's proven 2.2-litre mHawk turbodiesel engine, but revised to produce 103 kW and 320 Nm of torque. Linked to a six-speed manual gearbox with drive either going to the rear or all four wheels, claimed fuel consumption is between 7.7 L/100 km and 7.9 L/100 km with emissions at 210-211 g/km.
A four year / 120 000 km warranty and five year / 90 000 km service plan are standard on all models.
