Update
GEORGE NEWS - Due to rain which is making repairing of power lines difficult and cutting back of vegetation in certain areas several high voltage faults may only be restored in several hours’ time or by tomorrow.
We have also lost power again on the Airport line which affects several farms and in a portion of Herold’s Bay.
Estimated time of repair for the following areas are:
- Portions of Wilderness Heights - 22:00.
- Portion of Hoekwil - 24:30
- Saasveld area - 22:30
- Pinedew, most likely to be restored tomorrow.
Strong winds have caused several high and low voltage power outages in George area. Our electricians are working non-stop to get the power-up and running again.
Zone 6 was restored in the meantime.
