Urgent appeal for wheel barrows
The Friends of the Botanical Garden have issued an urgent appeal: the garden is in desperate need of wheelbarrows - ideally four or five - to assist with moving compost, mulch, and plants essential to the upkeep of this cherished space.
Christiaan Viljoen from Friends of the Botanical Garden said the plastic-binned wheelbarrows are best as they don’t rust, but they cost around R2 000 each. "At this point, we’ll gratefully accept any usable wheelbarrow, new or second-hand.”
Donors are reminded that the garden can issue Section 18A tax certificates for contributions.
Help the garden thrive by supporting their market day.
