GEORGE NEWS - The police seeks assistance from the community with a murder that took place in the early morning hours today Sunday 14 August. 

Members of the police in Thembalethu attended to a murder complaint that took place in Tabata Street at about 04:10 today.

“Upon arrival on the scene, members noticed the victim that was laying on the left side of the circle, on the side of the street. The then unknown victim who was wearing a black top, jeans, yellow T-shirt and black adidas sneakers was covered in blood.  

"Upon closer inspection of the body, they discovered that he has already succumbed to multiple stab wounds to his chest,” said Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie. The victim was later identified by his mother as Zamlungisi Masimini (26).
