GEORGE NEWS - Shepherd Ministries in New Dawn Park hosted an all-white New Year's bash on Saturday 31 December at Glory Land.
This event was hosted to give a prosperous New Year's revival to all the vulnerable children in the rural community.
"It was an honour to attend this event with my child," said a mother who attended.
Presents were handed out to all small children, and the rapper from Parkdene, Maxwell Matiwane, along with Megan Vryburg, entertained the children.
"This is a yearly event," said event planner Catherine Jafta. "My husband and I are doing it to help our vulnerable children in New Dawn Park. Every child is blessed with talents and attributes, therefore we teach these children that no matter the bad circumstances, they always have to work hard and respect each other."
Jafta and her husband Jonathan made it possible for a child to eat on this important day.
"The last day of the year. What a wondrous moment it was for my child," Carlin Williams said during the event.
Jonathan thanked those who contributed. "A thanks of appreciation go out to Ezra/Eden Sounds, Glory Land for sponsoring the venue and to each and everyone that helped us make this event possible," Jonathan Jafta said. - Jade Sateria
The children enjoyed taking part in spiritual dancing at the event.
