GEORGE NEWS - National Library Week starts tomorrow, 16 March, and will focus on services to communities including the disabled.
Communities are encouraged to visit any of the 11 municipal libraries.
Activities will include school visits, story hours, tea and biscuits with the elderly, goody bags, spelling and reading competitions, music in the foyer, face painting, board games, drama performances, poetry readings, chess, talks, puppet shows, drug awareness, soccer, colouring in and more.
At Conville library on Monday 19 March, people can expect library goody bags, a colouring-in competition, a spelling and reading competition and a count-the-jellybeans competition.
In George, on Tuesday 20 March, a disability workshop will be presented at the Civic Centre at 09:00 and the Asijike drama group will present a meet-a-superhero and a reading hour at 10:00.
In Thembalethu on Thursday 22 March, there will be tea for the elderly at the Masizakhe and Thusong centres.
