GEORGE NEWS - Liberty Church is holding a knitting competition on Saturday 20 July at 14:00 at the church at 88 Hope Street.
All are invited - grannies, grandpas, moms, dads and children - to join in the fun with a social knitting competition.
You will need three balls of double-knit wool and a pair of 4mm knitting needles to enter.
The competition will entail entrants casting on 30 stitches and knitting as many rows as they can within an hour. The squares will be made into a blanket for the underprivileged.
All donated items will go towards a knitting project in Conville.
There are exciting prizes to be won.
If you don't want to enter but would like to support the project, you are welcome to donate wool, needles or cash.
For enquiries, phone 082 979 3479.
