GEORGE NEWS - George police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man in his 40s was found next to a river yesterday, Wednesday 20 January.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the gruesome discovery was made by a group of hikers on the Witfontein road just outside of George at approximately 06:15 yesterday morning.
“Information available indicates that the group was on a hike in the forest when they made the discovery. They immediately alerted authorities. No foul play is suspected,” he said.
