GEORGE NEWS - For the seventh year running, the Garden Route SPCA will be holding their hugely popular Wilderness WOOF-athon.
Last year, 200 dogs participated in the mass doggie beach walk and the fun dog shows. This year they hope to have a record of 240 dogs.
The fun is not limited to dogs and their owners - there will be sizzling sosaties and bacon rolls, coffee and cakes, fairground games, the SPCA bargain book sale, and arts and craft stalls.
Watching dogs and owners get in a real tangle in South Africa's first "Sausage and Spoon Race" will make attending worth your while.
Diarise the event and come to the Wilderness Village Green on Saturday 25 November.
Registration opens at 08:00 (R25 per dog, R15 per human and R5 for kids 12 and under).
The beach walk starts at 09:00, the "Sausage and Spoon" races and fun dog shows at 10:00.
Want to win a flight over the coast in a private plane, a R750 feast at Roxi's at The Palms Garden Square, a R500 Woolworths shopping spree, or a R1 000 hairstyling at Stylz?
Then get your SPCA raffle tickets before the draw takes place at 12:00.
The funds raised will be used by the SPCA to help animals in need.
