GEORGE NEWS - Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Councillor for Human Resources, Charlotte Clarke this evening challenged all municipal officials to work off those lockdown kilograms and take part in the CANSA Relay for LIFE Virtual Challenge!
"Join us from 5 – 15 March 2021 in a Virtual Run/Walk or Cycle for Life to raise much needed funds."
At the heart of CANSA Relay For Life is the opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, to remember those who have left us and create awareness about cancer.
Covid-19 has meant that the annual event, as we all know and love it cannot take place this year. But that does not mean you cannot participate – get active and challenge yourself, your neighbours, your community. Exercise in your own space, wherever you feel safe on your own or in a group!
We encourage you to take part, help with our fundraising efforts for CANSA and at the same time enjoy your surroundings, get some exercise and fresh air, all vital to your well-being and mental health during these challenging times.
Sign up for a 5km, 10km, 42 km or 90km Walk Run or Cycle as a single or a group, fill in the online form, pay your entrance fee, (details given on the online form) and make sure you complete your registered distance between 5-15 March 2021.
