GEORGE NEWS - The body of a man was found on the lawn in front of a house opposite the Thembalethu Clinic on Sunday morning, 30 May. The body was found when the house owner went to unlock his gate on his way to work.
The deceased was later identified as Siphelele Booi (22), from Zone 7 in Thembalethu. Booi allegedly sustained four stab wounds to his back, which caused his death.
According to unconfirmed information he was out with two friends the night before, visiting a shebeen near the place where his body was found.
One of the friends allegedly left the shebeen with his girlfriend, leaving the deceased and their other friend at the shebeen.
No arrests have been made.
A media enquiry regarding the incident was sent to the relevant police station on Monday morning, but by the time of going to print on Wednesday no feedback had been received.
