GEORGE NEWS - Seven people, of whom four were children, managed to escape without any serious injuries after yet another accident at the infamous airport crossing on Monday afternoon, 22 March.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, a blue Toyota Raider bakkie carrying a family of four landed on its roof next to the R102 after it collided with a Toyota Fortuner.
"The bakkie was travelling from the direction of Great Brak River towards George on the R102 when the Fortuner, that was travelling from the direction of George Airport on the R404, allegedly hit the back of the bakkie on the side after which the bakkie landed on its roof," Pojie said.
The woman and her two children in the Fortuner, as well as the family of four in the bakkie, miraculously all escaped without any serious injuries.
Pojie confirmed that only an accident report had been opened.
