HESSEQUA NEWS - Two wildfires are currently raging through the Hessequa region in the Gourtizmond area (between Albertinia and Gouritzmond). One thatched roof home is in danger.
Firefighters from Garden Route District Municipality are on the scene.
Smoke impedes visibility on N2
The N2 is not closed yet, but it was reported that a thick blanket of smoke currently obstructs the vision of drivers along the road.
Strong to gale force winds expected
South African Weather Services also issued an advisory of strong to gale force north-westerly winds expected from midday today till 19 December.
