GEORGE NEWS - The improvement of the lives of the homeless was the only agenda item on a quarterly meeting held by the Plots (People Living on the Streets ) Forum, in collaboration with George Municipality.
Various departments and NGOs, including representatives from Project Hope and community wellness programmes, discussed strategies for effective support.
Businesses, NGOs, and community members are invited to participate in their new "Adopt a Person" initiative.
Instead of giving cash directly to individuals, you can donate R25 to the George Night Shelter. This donation provides a person with one night of accommodation, including a meal and shower.
