GEORGE NEWS - A man and a woman appeared in the George Magistrate’s Court on Monday 29 December, each in connection with a murder charge related to two separate incidents on Christmas day.
The 36-year-old Medowaan Goldman from 22 Muller Street, Rosemoor, was arrested the day after Christmas.
He is being accused of stabbing his victim, Castro Biko, to death with a knife in the street where he (the accused) lives. He remains in custody.
The woman, Laura Jane Luchrechia Le Kay (23) from Kouwdouw Farm, Waboomskraal, is being accused of killing Brendon Boesak (30) with whom she was in a domestic relationship. According to the charge sheet, the incident resulted from physical / sexual abuse. Le Kay stabbed him to death with a knife on the farm during an argument between them.
Both cases were remanded to 2 January for bail application.
