GEORGE NEWS - A 15-year-old boy allegedly drowned in a dam near Jonga High School on Saturday 21 February at about 12:25.
According to information available at this stage, police divers recovered the boy’s body from the water.
The body was subsequently handed over to Forensic Pathology Services for further examination.
Thembalethu SAPS has registered an inquest docket for further investigation.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Lt Col Malcolm Pojie confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the incident form part of an ongoing investigation.
