Taste Bud Battle comes to George

GEORGE NEWS - Taste Bud Battle, South Africa's best food competition for youngsters, is once again searching for the country's best young chefs, with R50 000 worth of prizes to be won and the chance to be crowned the Taste Bud Battle Chef of the Year 2020.

There are four age categories this year: pre-primary (ages four and five); junior primary (ages six to nine); primary (ages 10 to 13) and high school (ages 14 to 19). Entries close on 31 May.

Contestants can enter on the Taste Bud Battle website.

Semi-finalists will be announced on 11 June, with regional cook-offs taking place on 11 July (Johannesburg); 18 July (Pretoria); 25 July (Durban); 1 August (Cape Town) and 15 August (George).

Finalists will be announced on 31 August and flown up to Johannesburg for the ultimate Taste Bud Battle on 3 October, where category winners will be chosen and the overall grand champion will walk away with fabulous prizes.
