It's koi show time

GEORGE NEWS - It's time again to be mesmerised by the wonderful vivid colours of different varieties of koi fish at the annual koi show.

This year's show will be held at the Garden Route Mall from 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturday 21 March, and from 09:00 to 13:00 on Sunday 22 March.

We hope again to exceed our record of 360 koi ranging from 12cm to over 90cm. We are very honoured this year to have two certified judges from Belgium and Holland, plus our own very highly qualified South African judges, making a total of 10 judges.

The Southern Cape now ranks as the second biggest koi chapter in South Africa and we attract entrants from Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth and various other parts of the country.

Apart from the koi on display, there will be koi for sale as well. Visitors will again be able to join our walkabout educational talk, during which we will endeavour to explain what the judges look at to determine a champion.

The walkabout starts at 15:00 on Saturday. Please make yourself known at the desk if you are interested.
