GEORGE NEWS - @Love to Create Wellness is hosting a Wellness for Kids workshop on Saturday 15 March at the George Mother Church between 09:30 and 13:00.
"We believe that children’s health is more than just what’s on their plate - it’s about fostering a positive relationship with food, nurturing emotional well-being, and supporting their growing bodies from the inside out," says Diane la Grange from @Love to Create.
With speakers like Ilze Jordaan from Light2Live, Tracey Yates from My Little Light and Cecily-Ann Pohl from Fient Artisanal Ferments & Foods, they will address wellness for kids, discussing and focusing on how to fuel little bodies for bright minds and strong immunity.
Tips on what to feed children but exploring the deeper layers of how food connects to their emotions and overall wellness will also be on offer.
"One of the key conversations centered around mindful eating is helping children understand their hunger cues, embrace a variety of flavors, and enjoy mealtimes without pressure. When kids build a healthy relationship with food early on, they carry those habits into adulthood," says la Grange.
They will also dive into the fascinating world of fermented foods and drinks from kid-friendly options like yogurt, kefir and kombucha to simple ways families can introduce probiotics into daily meals.
