GEORGE NEWS - Georgians (hopefully all of them) are careful not to be wasteful when opening a tap these days, but for Peter and Romary Wegerle from Dormehlsdrift this has been the norm for many years, despite the extra effort it requires of the couple, who are getting on in years.
Their monthly consumption is below 6 kilolitres per month and a low water bill is par for the course in this household. "It has become second nature to us and we would feel guilty if we were to suddenly abandon our water saving habits," says Romary.
The George Herald paid them a visit to see what measures they have in place to keep their consumption in check.
