GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - There has been an apparent groundswell of interest from the leaders from all the Aboriginal Leadership Formations for an event that is taking place in Oudtshoorn from 13 to 15 May.
According to the organisers, since an article on the summit appeared in George Herald last week, leaders from all the Aboriginal Leadership Formations, including all Tribal/Royal Houses and organisations, have since booked space at this "first ever, historic Unity Summit 2022" event in Oudtshoorn.
The organisers are asking people to book the few spaces left and to be part of the final chapter of their struggle that will take a no-nonsense direct line to reclaim their ancestral land.
The event organisers said 100 members from youth formations from all provinces have been invited to make use of this transfer of knowledge to them as the aspirant leadership in a future aboriginal governance setup.
"We are a divided aboriginal first nation people, mainly due to a political decision that was made in 1948. It's that Act called apartheid that resulted in the dispossession of our real identity. It furthermore resulted in dispossession of our culture, language, land, raw materials, fishery and much more. Ever since this inhumane evil act was abolished, we never had the opportunity, maybe the will to bring a divided nation to a unity summit in action to address the above-mentioned anomalies as the heirs or owners of the land that belonged to our forefathers.
'Unity Summit 2022' is finally seeking to address the painful experiences that just continued with the advent of this new black government that instilled even more harsh apartheid fuelled legislation.
"Our ultimate aim is to establish an aboriginal government in waiting, alternatively a parallel government with its own aboriginal constitution, cultural and customary laws."
To make this primary objective a reality, the following processes was set up and awaiting adoption at summit:
*To unite all leadership formations (tribal/royal houses, organisations and other) across all provinces under one national umbrella body. This body will be neutral, apolitical and will in all its deliberations exclusively act on behalf of the express well-being of 12m+ aboriginal autonomous national living free people (so-called coloureds - derogatory word). This body will represent the full spectrum of leadership formations and will be proposed to amongst other be the platform whereby government must request consent before decisions made on any aboriginal matters.
* Providing guidance and processes to reclaim ancestral land.
* Adopting one umbrella name by which all first nation people be referred to, irrespective whether they are individuals or associated to the different tribal/royal houses across Southern Africa.
*Adopting the five (5) demands to our freedom. Four of these demands are captured by placards at the Union Building awaiting now three yrs + for a reply. The 5th demand is that of Aboriginal Law vs Maritime Law and who have jurisdiction over our land.
"At "Unity Summit 2022" we are adopting far-reaching strong and bold resolutions unapologetically. The three days will be used to adopt resolutions that will get our people out of this quagmire they find themselves, in the shortest period possible. It will be resolutions that 12m+ ignorant so-called coloured community (a derogatory name given them because of a political decision made) will be proud of as we make these far-reaching emancipatory decisions on their behalf.
This project will start at the Oudtshoorn summit, the follow-up will be during 16 - 19 June and if need be, one more before year end until we have reached our main objective.
Six (6) steering committees will drive or action the resolutions that will eventually culminate in the establishment of an aboriginal government with its own constitution, culture and customs.
