GEORGE NEWS FLASH - The local pastor, Melisizwe Monqo (30) from Thembalethu, who was arrested in connection with the murder of Hlompho Mohapi (25) appeared briefly in the George Magistrate's Court this morning, Thursday 19 July.
He was arrested at his home in Zone 9 on Monday 16 July.
Being treated as a matter of urgency, the case was postponed with only one day, until tomorrow (Friday 20 July) for the outcome of the suspect's legal aid application.
Should the application be successful, he will appear in court on Wedensday 25 July for a formal bail application along with Phumlani Qusheka, the man who was arrested in possession of Mohapi's cellphone two days after her death.
