GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route has some great game farms, but hey, there's an easier way to show your family the wild ones... drum roll... The George Wildlife Park!
What: Check out the cool cats: the Bengal tiger, cheetah, serval and caracal in the predator park.
If they give you the shivers, you can feed bunnies, dwarf goats, chickens, geese and even a pony.
Kids love to run around and play in the safe and secure play area.
So what can mom and dad do? Keep an eye on the kids from the Coffee Cats Restaurant's patio, licking a soft serve or having a meal, delicious cake or dessert.
Warning: If you love your pet, you won't bring (Polly/ Tootsie/ Rex/Tiger) along. If you love your kids, don't bring alcohol, and don't smoke on the premises. None of these are allowed inside in any case.
Hours:
- Tuesday to Sunday: 09:00 to 16:00
- School holidays: seven days a week, except on Christmas Day
Entry fees:
- R20 for adults
- R10 for kids
- Kids under 3 enter free
Remember: bring a hat, sun block and your camera (for a snap of you feeding the tiger...)
