GEORGE NEWS - A group of learners of Holy Cross Primary School performed at the recent George Eisteddfod Festival Concert, entertaining and impressing the audience.
Steven Kapp (Best Instrumentalist: Primary Schools) played In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg on the piano. Isabelle Botes (Versatility in m Music (instrumental and vocal), Art and Drama: Primary Schools) recited an undramatised poem.
Vocalists Kiara van Rensburg and Kesia Gelderbloem performed beautiful vocal solos, whilst Chloë and Asha Tait sang the well-known Summertime by George Gerschwin as a duet.
The 10 Voices ensemble group (Erhyn Petersen, Alakhe Arosi, Nicola Mouton, Asha Tait, Jauné Fortuin, Kiara van Rensburg, Jaden van Heerden, Geae Hendricks, Chloë Tait and Nikka Fritz) performed Lord Have Mercy arranged by Greta Benadé. Owethu Dingi (piano solo) and Nikka Fritz were absent when the photo was taken.
