GEORGE NEWS - Police are currently on scene in Beach Road, Pacaltsdorp, after two vehicles collided at approximately 09:50 this morning, Thursday 5 November.

According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, information available at this stage indicates that a black Toyota Auris sped off after attempts by police to stop the vehicle on the N2.

"A chase ensued during which the Auris collided with a white bakkie in Pacaltsdorp. Upon searching the vehicle drugs were found inside the Auris," said Spies.

The driver and a passenger in the Auris were injured and taken to hospital. At this stage the severity of their injures are unknown.

No other information is available at this stage.
