George unaudited final election results
GEORGE NEWS - The George Herald has just received what we believe to be the final provincial election results for the George Constituency as at 16:00.

Please note that these figures are still unaudited and are subject to change.

Compared to 2009 the DA in George has grown by almost 14%, whereas the local ANC support is down 5%.

Of the 96 805 registered voters just 56 632 voters showed up at the polls which represent 60%, slightly lower than in 2009.

The six top parties are as follows:
  • DA: 32 492 - 57,97%
  • ANC: 18 442 - 32,91%
  • Icosa 2 062 - 3,6%
  • FF Plus 730 - 1,3%
  • EFF 665 - 1,19%
  • ACDP 524 - 0,93%
