Update

GEORGE NEWS - The wind direction was mostly south and moderately south-west which led to the wildfire being pushed up-slope and north-east. 

A southerly wind is predicted for the evening which means that it will not fan the wildfire.

The affected area remains inaccessible by foot and vehicle.

Firefighters remain close to structures to protect them throughout the night.
