GEORGE NEWS - George police opened a reckless and negligent driving docket following an incident on the N2 highway near the turnoff to Kleinkrantz at about 10:20 this morning, 14 January.
“Preliminary information from scene indicates that four cyclists were cycling towards Wilderness when a vehicle, Suzuki, travelling in the same direction hit the 17-year-old girl from behind,” said Sgt Christopher Spies.
“She sustained serious injuries and was taken to a medical facility for further care. The three others are unharmed.”
No arrests were made. The cause of the accident is a subject of an ongoing police investigation.
