GEORGE NEWS - The cleansing division of the municipal department of community services recently held a clean-up at the small business premises in Lawaaikamp. Grace Notshokovu of the department said the purpose of the project is to help residents take responsibility for the area's cleanliness.
"A worker will be appointed to keep the business area clean and the owners are provided with wheelie bins to further assist in the project," said Notshokovu.
Business owners will be responsible to take the wheelie bins to a central point to be emptied on refuse days and will be responsible to keep the bins safe. They are also encouraged to recycle.
