GEORGE NEWS - The Pacaltsdorp police opened an inquest docket after the body of a woman was found in Crescent Avenue earlier today, Friday 3 March at about 10:15.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, a member of the public came across the body in an open field and alerted authorities.
The deceased has not yet been identified, but was dressed in black t-shirt and pink short at the time of the discovery.
Anyone with information that could assist police with the identity of the deceased is kindly requested to contact the investigation officer, Warrant Officer Cindy Horne on 044 803 9106.
A post-mortem to determine the cause of death will be conducted later.
