Update
GEORGE NEWS - Arno Boltman showed some reaction when his mother, Elsabe pressed his hand this afternoon (Sunday 31 October).
It was the first time a family member was allowed to visit him after many anxious hours of waiting since last night’s operation at Grootte Schuur Hospital.
Arno was transferred from George to Grootte Schuur for the operation after sustaining a head injury in a car accident on Friday night.
“He is currently under heavy sedation to keep him calm. Tonight at 18:00, another scan will be done to evaluate his condition.
“The doctor under whose care he is says Arno is calm and is responding well. We will be at the hospital again tomorrow and will be able to give feedback afterwards. Arno is allowed only one visitor per day for 15 minutes,” said Boltman.
