GEORGE NEWS - From the streets of a crime-ridden, gang-infested and poor community, "Die Barks" in Rosemoor, George, Sedric Smart is hailed as a leader and servant of the people with integrity. 

Born and bred in George, son of the soil, Sedric is no stranger to community work. He held several key positions as chairperson of different boards in community structures and served as volunteer, with no pay, on the George Municipality HIV and Aids committee. 

He also served two terms as a ward committee member for Ward 5. He has a heart of gold and only wants to see the improvement of the lives of our people.

He has ample experience in local government and corporate governance. A servant of great stature who will go the extra mile to ensure our people are taken care of.

The single most important thing Sedric Smart would like to do in George: "Equal service delivery with a balanced and equally spread integrated development plan for all citizens."
