GEORGE NEWS - The Thembalethu Police are investigating a case of suspected mob justice after a 30-year-old man was found dead in some bushes in Zone 6 on Saturday 6 September.
According to reports, the police were called out to the scene at about 16:45 following the assault and found the man with multiple head injuries.
The paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
The police had to use stun grenades to disperse the crowd that had gathered after the attack.
While the motive remains unclear, circumstances suggest the man might have been targeted in a vigilante-style attack.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
