BUSINESS NEWS - Education is known to be a powerful weapon. Young Ambassadors Primary School (YAPS), an affordable private school, is now situated at a new location in Delville Park and offers quality education in a family environment.
YAPS was previously situated in Victoria Street, but has been settling in nicely at their new premises, 9 Square Hill Street, Pacaltsdorp, over the past four months.
Principal Jacques Vorster said since it opened its doors in 2014, YAPS has been driven by five fundamental values: love, family, integrity, respect and quality. In its first year, the school accommodated only Grade 1 learners.
Today the school has six teachers and accommodates learners up to Grade 4. In 2019 Grade 5 learners will also be accommodated. "Our teachers are professionally qualified. All staff members are young, vibrant and willing to go the extra mile for the learners. Quality education is important to us," says Vorster.
YAPS follows the criteria of the national Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS).
The school offers homework and aftercare facilities and learners can participate in an expanding sports programme. With help from organisations, management of this NPO hopes to expand the school in the near future - in accordance with their motto, "Spread your wings."
