GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - Hartman and Sons Butchery in Knysna Road has all the reason in the world to celebrate.
Not only does this month mark their 29th birthday since the shop opened its doors in 1989, they've also scooped the prestigious award bestowed on top butcheries by the South African Red Meat Industry Forum - for the second consecutive year.
Hartman and Sons Butchery received a Western Cape Gold Cleaver Award for their excellence in the category 'up to three tills' at a luncheon in Johannesburg earlier this year. This follows after they walked away with the prestigious Western Cape Platinum Cleaver Award last year, making them the top butchery in this category in the whole of the Western Cape.
This is the thirteenth year that the Cleaver Awards, proudly supported by Freddy Hirsch, gives recognition to the best butcheries regionally and nationally. The awards acknowledge butcheries that supply quality assured roller marked South African beef, offer top-notch advice on meal preparations, offer value for money, and meet consumer expectations on in-store hygiene.
The owner of Hartman and Sons, Jurie Hartman, praised his staff and thanked his loyal clientele for their support over the years. Clients are invited to enjoy Hartman's birthday specials starting today, 22 November, until 1 December.
Contact the butchery on 044 874 2348 for quotes on braai packs, platters and meat for year end functions.
For combined convenience, visit Tipsy's Liquor next door to Hartman's.
