GEORGE NEWS - This year's Koi Show will be held at the Garden Route Mall in George on Saturday 24 March from 09:00 until 16:00 and Sunday 25 March from 09:00 until 12:00.
More than 360 koi, ranging from 12cm to 90cm, will be on display.
The judges this year are two overseas ZNA locally certified judges, and four South African judges headed by our chief judge, Mike Harvey.
The Southern Cape chapter is one of five chapters in South Africa that annually hold a koi show.
Koi are judged in their size category and in their own particular varieties, the ultimate winner earning the title of the supreme grand champion.
Many factors are taken into account when judging and these will be gladly explained to interested visitors, who can ask any of the helpers at the show.
Koi have definitely gripped the imagination of many South Africans. No two are exactly the same, which is why they are sought after.
There will also be koi and koi-related goods for sale at the show. Do bring the family and enjoy this year's event with us, at a nominal entrance fee.
