GEORGE NEWS - The George Business Chamber monthly networking event on Thursday evening was hosted by Willie Cilliers and the Upstairs @ Harry's team.
Three service excellence awards, sponsored by Sanlam, were handed over. These went to Gideon de Swardt, the Gogga Bicycle Courier, Wendy Nel of Digi Press, and Erick Olivier, owner of Digi Press, who received a reward on behalf of his team.
The chamber will hold its annual general meeting on 10 April at Town Lodge and a training event titled "Making the most of your skills development levy" will take place on 17 April.
At a "Meet & Greet" network morning on 30 April, the guest speaker will be Xolani Luvuno, the amputee athlete who completed the Comrades Marathon. This event is presented in partnership with Algoa FM and Avis Van Rental at the George Arts Theatre.

The team from Upstairs @ Harry's served some delectable eats and the evening was a great success. Western Cape AHi president Dr Willie Cilliers had been the restaurant's auditor for many years before buying it in 2017. It is thriving under the management of Donnick van der Bank and a section of the restaurant is now available for business meetings.
