GEORGE NEWS - There is a planned water outage for a portion of Market Street on Wednesday 26 February from 07:00 to 17:00 for the commissioning of the newly constructed potable water pipeline from the York Hostel development.
Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration, as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period. Low water pressure may also be experienced during this period.
Businesses downstream of the valve on the water main in Market Street will be affected.
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances that delay the planned work, the water outage will be rescheduled to Thursday 27 February from 07:00 to 17:00.
