GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Rescue and Disaster Management services will carry out a control burn north of Denneoord Water Works today, 15 September.
George Municipality apologises for the short notice but weather conditions are ideal for this today.
Control burns serve to reduce the fuel loading (dead leaves, tree limbs, and other debris), in areas and are implemented to prevent wildfires spreading.
