Prime Circle will be performing at Fancourt on Sunday 21 December as part of the stellar cast line-up in December.
GEORGE NEWS - Fancourt's festive season programme hits a high note this year with no less than six top acts headlining the holiday programme billing.
The line-up includes: Khan Morbee, Gangs of Ballet and Prime Circle (Sunday 21 December) and The Parlotones (Saturday 27 December), as well as Arno Carstens and Jesse Clegg (Saturday 3 January), who will perform as part of the popular outdoor picnic concerts held on the Fancourt lawns.
Tickets cost R200 per person, R100 for children. Gates open from 14:00 onwards, and concert goers are welcome to take their own picnic blankets. Eats and beverages will be available for sale. On Tuesday 16 December top stand-up comic Barry Hilton is set to bring the house down with his show The Way I See It, presented in the ballroom venue (R150 per person). Bookings: Computicket.
The resort festive season programme will start with a Fancourt Summer Classical Concert, themed The Magical World of Dance, on 3 December. The venue is the glamorous ballroom at the Fancourt Conference Centre where the evening show will be presented between 19:00 and 20:00. To accommodate children, a matinee will be presented from 15:30-16:30. Tickets are R100 per person and R20 for scholars. Bookings are now open.
On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 December Fancourt will present its Sparkling Wine Festival featuring live music and bubbly from 15 wine estates (R150 per person). Wine farms will present their vintages for tasting while wine enthusiasts taste their way around some of the best sparkling wines in the region, from 16:00-20:00 on Friday, and from 12:00-15:00 on Saturday. It's a great opportunity to stock up for the festive celebrations too.
On the culinary front, a delicious Karoo High Tea will be served on Saturday 20 December in the Manor House Gazebo, offering a scrumptious selection of treats to indulge the sweet tooth at R150 per person. On Thursday 25 December, a traditional Christmas buffet will be served in the banquet hall, which includes Christmas crackers and a welcome drink (R390 for adults, R250 kids four to 10 years, and babies to three years).
The jam-packed festive season programme is open to visitors, as well as guests staying at either of Fancourt's two luxury hotels. Holidaymakers can also indulge in other festive culinary feasts that include themed dinners, food and wine pairings, and the legendary Sunday lunch buffet at family-friendly La Cantina restaurant, on select dates from 15 December onwards.
