Each event will have Soli Philander and Claude Pretorius as joint masters of ceremonies with a sports ‘questions and answers’ being presented by Ian McIntosh, who will be at the event with a number of other well-known rugby players.
This charity fundraiser is presented by Nedbank Business Banking, Garden Route with Hyatt Regency sponsoring the venue. The work of top South African designers will be showcased. Deon Oelofse, who is a wizard with ostrich leather and feathers, show-stopping bridal gowns by Caren Ogilvie of Bridal Inn, Lee Bailey of Boho Chic and Sarel Theron of Kappikappi, specialising in sports wear, will all be on show.
Adding to the glamour will be Joani Johnson, Mrs South Africa 2009 of ACE Models and her models who will take to the ramp.
The George Rotary Club president and Andrew Jeffery of Mazars Moores Rowland will do the draw for the raffle which has more than 80 fabulous prizes.
Ladies’ breakfast tickets are R200 per person, dinner tickets are R500 per person and raffle tickets are R100 per ticket.
The fundraising events will support 10 charities throughout the Garden Route and in George the funds will go towards Emmaüs Centre for adults with special needs, and the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).

In previous years a host of charities benefited from the Nedbank fundraisers organised by Laura Theobald. This year the aim is to raise R180 000.
